Continuous Symmetry Measures
Continuous Symmetry Measures

Chirality, symmetry and shape are key descriptors of molecules. Traditionally they are treated as either existing or not. Here you will be able to evaluate these properties on a quantitative scale by employing the Continuous Symmetry Measures.

The ability to quantify symmetry and chirality leads to new questions and research directions. One can compare the symmetry and chirality of different systems; track the changes in symmetry and chirality during dynamic processes; correlate symmetry and chirality to chemical and physical properties; and much more. One can also investigate the role of symmetry and chirality not only in the exact sciences, but also in the social sciences and in the arts.
